UWA Mission
The Urban Winery Alliance was formed to serve the mutual needs of the city winery. The member wineries work together to promote their trade, join marketing and public relations forces, to organize events, and to work together to learn and develop ways to perfect our craft with minimal impact on the surrounding communities.
History
The Urban Winery Alliance was founded by Alie Shaper of Brooklyn Oenology in March 2007. A newcomer to the urban wine scene, in her own needs to make the most of the wine trade in the city, she saw the UWA as a potential resource for other urban winemakers.
